The five co-hosts of “The view” piled collectively in the Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) for its scandalous antics during a recent screening of “Beetlejuice.”
The lawmaker was kicked out of a Denver movie theater on Sept. 10 for being disruptive and violating theater rules. His campaign initially dismissed the criticism and lied about what happened, but later apologized after security footage revealed the extent of his misconduct at the family event.
“In defense of Lauren Boebert, who hasn’t gone to a ‘Beetlejuice’ matinee, went a little over the top, started vaping, got a little handsy with someone, got dragged out, and then had her turned around to security?” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin broke down.
Boebert said An America News network on Sunday came across as “a little eccentric” on the show and blamed her “lively personality.”
“No, honey, you weren’t eccentric, you were rated X,” “The View” panelist Ana Navarro said of that exchange.
The talk show aired a montage of Boebert’s previous comments attacking LGBTQ+ awareness initiatives and drag shows, complaining about “cleanliness”children and exposing them to “obscene content.”
“Well, you didn’t mind exposing the pregnant woman to your vape smoke,” said moderator Whoopi Goldberg, referring to a pregnant attendee who was sitting behind the lawmaker.
(The woman told the Denver Post that asked Boebert to stopbut the congresswoman said “no”).
Co-host Sara Haines said that, for her, lying was the worst part.
“Looking at her behavior, if she had come forward and said. ‘I’m going through a tough time, I had a tough night,’ she would have said, ‘I have a lot of grace for you,’” she said. “But you are an unpleasant person to many people, so I have no forgiveness for what she did.”
Sunny Hostin referred a sensational report that Boebert’s partner is the owner of a gay-friendly bar in Aspen.
“Hypocrisy is so delicious to the democratsbut it is very repugnant for the country,” Hostin said.
