Thousands of Lloyds and Halifax customers report issues as banks issue messages

Lloyds Bank and Halifax customers are experiencing issues accessing their accounts today. Thousands of reports have been filed via Down Detector, a site recording issues with online platforms, on Wednesday.

Among the issues being experienced by customers of these banks are troubles accessing the apps, with one Lloyd customer writing on Downdetector: “Completely down! App won’t work!” Others said they are unable to make payments. Another customer taking to X told Lloyds: “App is down, fix it.” The bank’s social media account replied saying: “Sorry to hear that you’re experiencing app login issues. We are aware of this, so we are working on this.” Issues are also being reported by Royal Bank of Scotland’s customers. The banks have issued a message on X, writing: “We’re aware some customers are having issues with our app and online banking. We’re really sorry about this. We’re working hard to fix it and will let you know as soon as we’re back to normal.”
