Tokyo shares plunged Monday, monitoring a weak lead from Wall Avenue fuelled by issues of a regional escalation within the battle between Israel and Hamas.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index dropped 2.03 %, or 656.96 factors, to 31,659.03, whereas the broader Topix index slipped 1.53 %, or 35.21 factors, to 2,273.54.
