US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, as the world’s biggest economies spar in high-stakes talks on issues spanning trade complaints to Beijing’s continued support for Russia.
America’s top diplomat will sit down with the Chinese leader on Friday afternoon, the US State Department confirmed shortly after Blinken emerged from five-and-a-half hours of meetings with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, including a working lunch.
