Toyota debuts stripped-down Hilux pickup for rising markets

SYDNEY — Toyota Motor unveiled a brand new industrial mannequin of its Hilux pickup truck on Monday, taking intention at rising markets in Southeast Asia and elsewhere with a price ticket as much as 20% cheaper than the usual mannequin.

Supply of the Hilux Champ will start in Thailand in January. Beginning at 459,000 baht ($13,100), the truck includes a simplified cargo mattress and inside. An idea automobile was displayed on the Japan Mobility Present in late October.
