A truck driver is in a serious condition in hospital after a road accident near Sydney Airport.
Commuters have been warned to seek alternative routes and allow for extra time with the left turn slip lane closed on Foreshore Road (to General Holmes Drive), triggering traffic chaos for westbound drivers.
Images from the scene show the semi-trailer truck rolled on its side, with debris scattered around it.

The truck driver has been rushed to St George Hospital.
