According to the most recent advisory released by the NHC, Tropical Storm Emily is located about 1,105 miles west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands with sustained winds of 45 mph. Emily is traveling at about 9 mph heading west-northwest. The National Hurricane Center expects Tropical Storm Emily to remain a tropical storm before weakening to a post-tropical cyclone in the next few days.
