donald trump welcomed the Governor of Florida. ron desantis to the Republican presidential race with a series of increasingly bizarre posts on his various social media channels.
The former president published a video aggressor DeSantis as an ingrate who owes his career to Trump. He posted another of what appears to be a SpaceX rocket falls and explodes with “Rum! 2024” on him.
And he shared a bizarre video mocking DeSantis’ entrance via a failed Twitter event hosted by Elon Musk.
In Trump’s version, the participants include not only Musk and DeSantis, but also Adolf Hitler, the devil, a coughing Dick Cheney, billionaire George Soros, World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab, and a fbi agent openly plotting to “eliminate” Trump.
The video concludes with a fake voice, perhaps AI, of Trump hurling insults.
“Damn, I’m going to kick your ass real soon. Hitler, you’re already dead. Dick Cheney, it looks like you’ll be joining Hitler very soon,” says Trump’s voice. “Ron DeSanctimonious can you kiss my big beautiful 2024 presidential ass.”
The bizarre video was posted on Trump’s official Instagram and social truth but widely shared by others on Twitter:
Trump also launched a series of insults directed at DeSantis on his Truth Social website, including one in which he compared sizes.
That is a reference to a 2018 tweet by Trump warning that his nuclear launch button “is much bigger and more powerful than yours, and my button works!”
DeSantis at one point appeared to be a legitimate threat to Trump’s third run for president, with polls showing him catching up with the former president.
A survey in January even had DeSantis with a lead about Trump.
Since then, his star has faded, with more recent polls showing the Florida governor trailing by double digits, including a recent Quinnipiac poll that has the governor of Florida down by almost 30 percentage points.
“His entire campaign is going to be a disaster,” Trump predicted Wednesday on Truth Social. “LOOK!”
