Two Tankers With Russia’s Urals Oil Idle Off for Weeks Off India

Two tankers carrying Russian flagship Urals crude have been idling off the West Coast of India for greater than three weeks with none indication of when they may unload.

The Aframax tanker Crude Centurion arrived on the West Coast of India on Feb. 21, about 100 miles away from Sikka, its vacation spot. One other, the Afragold, had been floating close by since Feb. 29 after briefly signaling Mundra. Each loaded about 700,000 barrels of Urals from Russian Baltic sea port Primorsk in January.
