WASHINGTON—The Biden administration plans to place the Houthi insurgent group again on one among its lists of terrorist organizations, days after the U.S. launched strikes on its services in Yemen in retaliation for months of assaults on industrial vessels within the Pink Sea, officers stated.

The location as a specifically designated international terrorist group, which the U.S. plans to formally announce on Wednesday, reverses a choice made early in President Biden’s time period to take away the Houthis from the listing over issues it harm prospects for peace talks and additional crippled the financial system of an impoverished nation prone to famine.
