UK construction company plunges into liquidation after 16 years

The company was incorporated in April 2010 and is registered to an address in Chorley. Jasmine Baxter of Anderson Brookes Insolvency Practitioners Limited and Rikki Burton of Anderson Brookes Insolvency Practitioners Limited have been appointed as liquidators.

According to the latest publicly available documents on Companies House, dated up until April 2025 the firm did not have any amounts falling due within one year. It is unclear as to why the company has entered liquidation.

Several construction companies have entered liquidation this year alone, many due to financial difficulties. Last month, Kevin William Peare & Sons entered administration with more than 50 years of experience.

A Surrey based construction firm, also entered liquidation in September, after 15 years. Bartek Builders LTD was appointed liquidators on September 28, 2026 after documents displayed £97,000 of debts.

London and South East building contractor Helix Construct, knwon for specialising in affordable housing, education, care and commercial projects across London and the south of England also entered liquidation recently. And, construction companies are not the only ones suffering.

In April alone, government data shows that over 2,000 firms registered company insolvencies in England and Wales. Several impacted sectors include travel, agriculture and retail.

A company is insolvent when it can’t pay its debts. This could mean either it can’t pay bills when they become due or it has more liabilities than assets on its balance sheet.

Companies may be able to continue trading if directors take action but if not the firm will be in danger of being closed down, according to the government website.
