UK electrical contractor for Heathrow Airport plunges into liquidation

A UK electrical contractor that worked with major clients, including Heathrow Airport and British Airways, is set to close after plunging into liquidation. Freemantle Projects Ltd was founded in 2020 and offered a range of electrical solutions with a ‘reputation for consistently delivering high-quality works’.

The company is based close to Heathrow Airport and works with various commercial clients at the airport and throughout the UK.

Some of these clients included British Airways, Jet2, Hermes, and American Airlines. The company’s website adds: “We have over twenty years of experience providing high-quality electrical work covering all aspects of work from the survey, design, electrical installations, mechanical engineering, and building solutions.”

However, on October 22, a liquidator was appointed according to The Gazette.

The following order was passed in the meeting: “That the Company be wound up voluntarily and that Molly Monks(IP No. 19830) of Parker Walsh, Suite A, Victoria House, 19-21 Ack Lane East, Bramhall, Cheshire, SK7 2BE be appointed Liquidator of the Company.”

According to Companies House, the company has accounts overdue. The last available accounts are made up to October 31, 2023, with the next accounts made up to April 30, 2025, which were due on April 30, 2026.

Freemantle Projects Ltd is one of many companies that have fallen into liquidation this year, with many operating in the travel sector.

Earlier this month, UK travel company Global Travel Partners entered liquidation after 15 years. The travel company specialised in corporate travel services, including flight and hotel bookings, travel policy management, and expense reporting for clients across the UK and overseas and served more than 100,000 customers.

In August 2026, 1,946 companies in England and Wales registered insolvencies.

This is similar to the previous month. Government data shows that of these insolvencies in August 2026, 314 were compulsory liquidations, 1,431 creditors’ voluntary liquidations (CVLs), 182 administrations and 19 company voluntary arrangements (CVAs).

The Express has contacted Freemantle Projects Ltd for comment.
