The plane was moving on the runway and preparing to take off for London when the incident occurred. Most of the passengers on the plane were returning from the Hideout Croatian music festival, which was held on the island of Pag at the end of June. Also, the British boxer was taken off the plane and taken to hospital after he resisted arrest. Currently, he is in custody on suspicion of assaulting an officer.
An airline spokesperson told the Independent: “This flight from Zadar to London Stansted (June 30) was again grounded after an individual passenger became upset while preparing for take-off. The passenger was removed from the plane by local police before this flight continued safely to London Stansted.”
“This is now a local police matter. We sincerely apologize to the affected passengers for any inconvenience caused as a result of this passenger’s disruptive behavior,” they added.
