LONDON, Nov 19 (Reuters) – Actor and comic Russell Model has been questioned by detectives from London’s Metropolitan Police over allegations of historic intercourse offences, the Instances newspaper reported on Sunday.
British police stated in September they’d launched an investigation into various allegations of non-recent sexual offences following media experiences that ladies had accused Model of a string of sexual assaults.
Earlier that month the Sunday Instances newspaper and Channel 4 TV’s documentary present “Dispatches” reported 4 girls had accused Model, 48, of intercourse offences, together with a rape, between 2006 and 2013.
Model has rejected what he has described as “very critical allegations”, saying on his social media channels he has by no means had non-consensual intercourse.
There was no rapid response to a request for touch upon Sunday’s report from representatives for Model.
“A person in his 40s attended a police station in South London on Thursday 16 November 2023,” the Metropolitan Police stated in a press release, declining to substantiate whether or not it was Model.
“He was interviewed beneath warning by detectives in relation to 3 non-recent sexual offences. Enquiries proceed,” the drive added.
