People in the UK are baffled after a pink pigeon appeared in Bury town centre. The bird was seen accepting food from locals and on rooftops in the area. bbc reported.
In fact, Greater Manchester Police said some of its officers also encountered the “rare pink pigeon in the city centre”. The Facebook post read: “Officers are on foot patrol this afternoon as part of #OpHeartbeat. Officers quickly came across a rare pink pigeon in the town centre. Have you seen the Bury pink pigeon yet? Let us know and Come say hello when you see us.”
Many locals speculated whether the mystery bird had been dyed, dropped on something, or was naturally pink, the news outlet said.

Samantha Brown, 43, told the BBC: “I saw someone give him a chip. Everyone wonders why it’s pink, but it adds a bit of color to the place.” She adds, “I think they’re dyeing it, but who knows?”
Previously, a pink dove was rescued in New York City after being dyed bright pink for a gender reveal party.
He was discovered in Manhattan’s Madison Square Park showing signs of malnutrition. The bird was rescued and taken to the Wild Bird Fund for treatment.
