UK to tout £50bn for startups as part of pension reforms

The UK government expects to announce around £50bn ($64.2bn) of support for insurers to invest in start-ups and fast-growing companies as part of far-reaching pension reforms to boost investment.

Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt is also expected to use his speech at Mansion House in the City of London to launch consultations on other changes the government hopes will mark one of the most sweeping shakeups of the UK pension market in decades.
