A reward of Rs 25,000 has been announced for Shaista Parveen, who is currently on the run, the Dhumanganj SHO Rajesh Kumar Maurya Police Station said.
Uttar Pradesh Police have announced a Rs 25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Shaista Parveen, the wife of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, who is accused in the Umesh Pal murder case.
A reward of Rs 25,000 was announced on Friday for Shaista Parveen, who is currently on the run, Dhumanganj Police Station SHO Rajesh Kumar Maurya said.
An FIR was registered at the Dhumanganj police station on the basis of a complaint from Umesh Pal’s wife after he and his two security staff were shot dead on 24 February.
Ahmed, currently being held in a Gujarat prison, is the main defendant in the 2005 murder of BSP lawmaker Raju Pal. Atiq, his brother Ashraf and his wife Shaista Parveen were booked in connection with the murder of Umesh Pal, a key witness in the Raju Pal murder case.
Earlier, a reward of Rs 250,000 was announced for information on the whereabouts of five shooters, including Ahmed’s son Asad, involved in the assassination.
