The 2023 edition of the Zee Cine Awards aired on March 18 of last month. Like all film awards, it honored the best films, actors and technicians of the past year. Along with the award ceremony, the show also saw performances and attendance by a list of top Bollywood stars including Alia Bhatt, Kartik Aaryan, Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Pooja Hegde and Kiara Advani. The show was hosted by Ayushmann Khurrana and his brother and actor Aparshakti Khurana.
Varun Dhawan paid a whopping Rs. Rs 5 crore to act and host Zee Cine Awards 2023
Varun Dhawan used the platform to showcase a couple of renditions of songs from his latest movie. Bhediya in form of ‘Jungle Mein Kaand‘ and ‘make me yours.’
Along with that, Varun also took on the role of host for some time. He left the audience divided as a presenter through a fun section with Ayushmann where the two sang a parody of Alia Bhatt’s hit song ‘Kesariyah‘ of Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva to describe her difficulties in caring for her newborn baby Raha with her husband and star actor Ranbir Kapoor.
In the middle of this bollywood hungama has come to know that Varun was paid a whopping Rs 5 crores from the Zee Cine Awards for the aforementioned services.
On the work front, Varun has that of Nitesh Tiwari Bawal with Jahnvi Kapoor. She will also make her web series debut with the Indian version of Citadel. Directed by Raj and DK, the show also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a pivotal role.
