Viu, the streaming unit of the Hong Kong billionaire richard li‘s, is considering an Asian expansion and the creation of more premium content through a partnership with Canal+ that could see the French broadcaster finally invest $300 million in the company.
The platform is evaluating the potential of new markets in Asia, as well as the possibility of using Canal+’s extensive presence in Europe to strengthen its distribution networks, CEO Janice Lee he said in an interview, without identifying specific countries.
