Watch a Democratic Rep Shred a Former Trump EPA Official for Pushing Trans Claims

Rep. becca balint (D-Vt.) criticized a former Trump administration official for mentioning Transgender issues at a hearing on sustainable investing on Tuesday. (Look the following video).

Many republicans have attacked ESG, the environmentalGovernance and social investment strategy that also takes into account a company’s approach to climate change and social issues, like “wake up” and to the detriment of profits.

But Balint, who is gay, came to a boil over claims made by GOP “climate and energy strategy strategist” Mandy Gunasekara, who worked at the Environmental Protection Agency under President donald trump and has been nicknamed the “main architect of withdrawal from the Paris Agreement.” Gunasekara claimed that ESG promoted gender transitions for boys at the House Oversight Committee meeting.

“I want to know, do you really believe in that crap?” Balint asked.

“It’s not about believing. It is a matter of fact,” Gunasekara replied.

“So you think the investment strategies are actually…armed to support and promote gender transition for boys? Is that essentially what you’re saying, or are you just using it as another opportunity to hit the kids? Balint said.

“I am not the one who beats the children,” Gunasekara said. “It is the people who promote gender transitions in children who are potentially harming them.”

Balint, the first woman and first person openly gay Vermont, elected to Congress, said she had just met with parents whose transgender children have been denied care and demonized by the right. The parents urged her to stand up for them when the issue came up again, Balint said.

“It seems like every hearing I’m in, whether it’s Oversight or Budget or a subcommittee, witnesses somehow find a way to include trans kids in whatever conversation we’re trying to have here,” Balint said. .

Gunasekara Texas Public Policy Foundation bio read: “While at the EPA, he spearheaded many of the Trump Administration’s greatest energy and environmental policy achievements. Mandy was the principal architect of the withdrawal from the Paris Agreement and the repeal of the Clean Power Plan.
