“All is well in the Pakistan team. Mai kisi ka naam nahi loonga. there is a lot of controversy (All the pacers in the Pakistan team are equally good. I’m not going to pick any individual. It creates a lot of controversy),” says Rohit at an event in the US.
“Ek ka naam lete hai toh doosre ko acha nahi lagta. Doosre ka lete hai toh teesre ko acha nahi lagta. Saare hi ache hai (If I take the name of one player, the second player will feel bad. If I take the name of the second player, then the third player will feel bad. I think they are all good),” he added.
India will face Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka in the upcoming Asian Cup 2023, starting on August 30.
“When you play against Pakistan, it’s always a challenge, to beat them and play against them, we have to do a lot,” Sharma said on Star Sports.
Pakistan, India and Nepal are in Pool A, while Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka are in Pool B. The tournament will follow a hybrid model with Pakistan hosting four matches across two venues and Sri Lanka hosting the remaining games.
