IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

  1. Nil.

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extreme high fire danger conditions expected over north-eastern parts of the North West, and the western parts of Limpopo.

ADVISORIES:

  1. Very cold conditions are expected along the escarpment and eastern Highveld of Mpumalanga on Monday.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east where it will be cool to cold with evening light rain and drizzle, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers on the Highveld from the afternoon but scattered over the eastern Highveld. It will be windy in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy, cool and windy in the east with evening drizzle and light rain, otherwise fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon thundershowers except in the extreme south-west. It will be very hot in the extreme west.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the extreme east, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

Free State:

Temperature: Cloudy in the extreme east with possible fog patches in the morning, where it is expected to become partly cloudy, with possible isolated showers, otherwise fine and cool, but warm in the north-east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the extreme south where it will be cold, otherwise fine and cool.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly to southwesterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the morning with isolated showers over Cape Metro and south coast until late morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly but strong along the south coast in the early morning. It will become moderate southerly to southeasterly between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas from the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Temperature: Partly cloudy and cold, but cloudy with isolated showers and rain along the coast.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be strong westerly to southwesterly.

The Eastern half – Temperature: Partly cloudy and cold, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and rain south of the escarpment from the afternoon.

The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool to cold. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected but isolated in the west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south to south-westerly becoming moderate south-easterly from the north in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
