WI voters urge Harris to call for peace in Middle East ahead of DNC

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Wisconsin voters gathered Saturday and called on Vice President Harris to embrace a weapons embargo and to stop arming Israel. The protests, which come before the Democratic National Convention on Monday in Chicago, were part of a national campaign with similar demonstrations taking place in other states across the county over the weekend.

Demonstrators placed pairs of kid’s shoes around the Capitol to represent the over 15,000 children who have been killed in Gaza. Protesters urged Harris to push for an arms embargo on Israel and call for an immediate ceasefire.

Voters also rallied in Milwaukee and neighboring states Minnesota and Michigan. Protesters from across the nation are looking to the DNC next to make their voices heard.
