A woman has been handed a prison sentence after being found guilty of involvement in cocaine supply. Nicole Locke was jailed for five years and six months following her conviction.
The sentencing was handed down at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court, where the 33-year-old, from Tonypandy, Wales, pleaded guilty to one count of being concerned in the supply of cocaine, one count of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and acquiring/using criminal property.
The case arose from a police investigation into a drugs line operating across the Rhondda. Officers identified a number known to be connected to one of these drug lines and were subsequently able to link it to Locke.
Officers from the force’s serious organised crime unit pinpointed an address in Tonypandy, and in June 2026 attended the property, where they discovered Locke in one of the bedrooms.
Upon her arrest, her mobile phone was seized, and it was established that the drug line number was registered to Locke’s device, reports Wales Online.
Officers also uncovered a white plastic bag containing white powder along with £155 in cash. A search of Locke’s car further revealed £180 in cash, one bag containing white powder, and a Kinder Egg also containing white powder.
WalesOnline had previously reported in 2025 that Locke had pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Following the sentencing, police constable Justyn Lewis said: “These illegal drugs have devastating consequences on the people further down the chain who end up using them, not to mention their family, friends and wider communities.
“We will continue to investigate any information you have which could relate to the sale or use of these drugs, including combating drug lines across the region.”
