WPL: Free Entry For All In The Match Between Gujarat Giants And Royal Challengers Bangalore On The Occasion Of Women’s Day

On the occasion of Women’s Day, there will be free admission for all at Brabourne Stadium for the match between Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday.

A few days earlier, the BCCI had announced that all matches in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will have free entry for women and girls in order to promote women’s cricket in India.

The latest ad was shown on the giant scoreboard this Monday during the match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers bangalore at Brabourne Stadium. The same was also tweeted by the official WPL Twitter handle.

In the match MI defeated RCB by nine wickets. Chasing 156, MI hit his target with 34 balls to spare.

After picking three wickets, Hayley Matthews completed an excellent all-round show by scoring a 38-ball 77, while Nat Sciver-Brunt made 29-ball 55.

Previously, RCB were all set for 155 in 18.4 overs. Opting to bat after winning the toss, RCB got off to a strong start with the opening duo of captain Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine adding 39 runs in 4.2 overs, when the latter was dismissed. by Saika Ishaque for a 16 out of 11 balls.

Disha Kasat was unable to open her account, before Hayley Matthews sent Mandhana back for a 17-ball 23, the RCB captain going down again after kick off.

Richa Ghosh, then, contributed 28 of 26 balls. Later, RCB was helped by helpful cameos from Kanika Ahuja (22 of 13), Shreyanka Patil (23 of 15) and Megan Schutt (20 of 14).
