On Wednesday, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) cleared the covers for 26 land awardees to set up their production units at Medical Device Park and handed them land titles and other documents.
YEIDA has so far allocated 59 parcels in the park spread over 350 acres in Sector 28.
In a meeting with the awardees, Medical Device Park CEO Arun Veer Singh assured them that they will provide top-notch facilities.
Singh said the Union Ministry of Commerce was establishing an export promotion council in the park to provide beneficiaries with export documentation and obtain export and other subsidies. Informing that the administrative block in the Medical Devices Park is under construction, the executive director said that the authority will provide road, metro, highway, pod taxi and bullet train connectivity to the park.
During the interaction, the awardees presented their demands to the authority, such as establishing a fire hydrant, residences for park workers, and residential lots for the awardees.
The authority assured them that they would provide all these facilities together with the establishment of two flat factories (a group of small industrial units located in multi-story buildings that share common services and facilities and have their undivided share in the land) in Sector 28, for what it would cost-effective for industrialists interested in setting up their factories in the park.
The parcels assigned to the winning bidders vary in size: 1,000 square meters, 2,100 square meters and 4,000 square meters.
The top five successful bidders with 4,000 sqm plots are: Auzein Medical Pvt Ltd (to set up an orthopedic implant unit with an investment of Rs 18.15 crore), Heidelco Medicore Pvt Ltd (to set up an oxygen concentrator unit and AED with an investment of Rs 24 crore), Q Line Biotech (to set up a similar unit), Ramsons Group (to set up an anesthesia kit and needle unit with a value of Rs 15 crore) and Genuince Medica Pvt Ltd (To set up an Anesthesia Workstation Unit worth Rs 18.5 crore).
In addition to them, other successful bidders have expressed interest in manufacturing X-ray machines, ICU ventilators, gastroenterology and cardiology medical devices such as esophageal stents, biliary stents, plastic biliary stents, ECG machines, hemodialysis kits, etc.
