Yourway, a Lehigh County-based company that stores and delivers pharmaceutical products, will show off its new depot in Ireland on Thursday.
The Dublin depot, which has more than 12,000 pallet locations that can store products at various temperatures, opened in October. Yourway designed it to meet the needs of European Union customers.
Ireland is host to 19 of the world’s top 20 pharmaceutical companies, according to Innopharma Education, which trains people to work in the field.
“The EU is a critical region for new drug development,” Gulam Jaffer, founder and president of Yourway, said in a statement.
On Thursday, Yourway will hold a symposium on global clinical trials at the Dublin site to bring together experts in the field. Topics include how artificial intelligence may affect clinical trials and dealing with the EU’s regulations for trials.
Yourway did not disclose a specific amount, but said has invested millions of euros in the 70,000-square-foot Dublin facility.
Yourway is based in Upper Macungie Township and has 20 facilities worldwide. Jaffer founded the company in 1997.
