Zeeshan Khan, known for his appearances on popular TV shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Bigg Boss OTT, and Lock Upp, recently shared his harrowing experiences with couch casting and being asked to work as a stripper in the entertainment industry. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Zeeshan revealed the awkward situations he encountered throughout his career.
Zeeshan Khan Reveals Experience Casting Couch; he remembers being approached for stripper offers
Recalling an incident from his early days, Zeeshan mentioned that he was paid a meager 3,000 rupees a day for his work on a television show. However, in order to get paid from him, he had to deal with the director of a talent management agency who refused to pay him.
Additionally, Zeeshan revealed a disturbing encounter with a “popular” casting director. During a meeting in the principal’s office, they asked her to remove her shirt to show his body. Although he initially complied, the director demanded Zeeshan drop his pants as well, a request he firmly refused. Zeeshan’s refusal angered the casting director, who threatened him with regret if he didn’t comply.
Khan recalled: “He asked me to show me my body. So, I told him: ‘I’ll send you photos and everything’. But then he said, ‘People tend to edit pictures, so take your shirt off.’ He was fine with taking my shirt off. And he did so. But then he wanted me to show my legs. He asked me to drop my pants. I denied. I told him, you can see my legs from my jeans. He said, ‘Tere jaise bohot ayee hai and do mahine ke baad have asked for ki jo chahiye karwalo bas kaam dilwa do.’ And I have told them no. Remember that you told me no and you will regret it. I’d rather live with that regret of saying no than with the regret of saying yes.”
The TV actor also accused a fashion designer of trying to kiss him at an official launch event and that he has been offered to work as a stripper at parties. Furthermore, he said, “There are people who will call you under the guise of event organizers. They’re going to tell you about the event and then it turns out that the whole event is a front for a party. Then once you get there they will tell you to dance in boxers and stuff. People have also reached out to me.”
